About Derrin Do!

Derrin do! is my blog dedicated to my research into the curriculum of survival, navigation and stealth training in British Commando schools at Achnacarry, Braemar, Lochailort and Inveraray during WW2. I will also delve into the biographies and roles of former explorers, mountaineers, and hunters who were recruited as instructors, offering insightful analysis and hopefully engaging discussions. My approach combines in-depth research, historical documents, and captivating narratives, as well as some experimental archaeology to make academic history intriguing for all.
